Busy Bees
Our senior citizens are a very important part and aspect of our parish. They take trips to the monasteries where they get an opportunity to witness and practice their faith. They meet approximately once a month with various programs and outings, which give them a chance to enjoy each other’s company while visiting with each other. If you have any questions, Mrs. Dora Stamatopoulos is the coordinator of this wonderful group.

About Busy Bees
Welcome to the world of The Busy Bees, a living history of our parish life seen through the eyes of our senior members. Father Christopher Constantinides Proestamenos of St. Athanasios was gratified to see members of our seniors organize to form The Busy Bees under the direction of Daisy Arges. This fine young group picked the name “The Busy Bees” because they felt the need for exploring the open road and investing their time, talent and treasure for the good of the church. Born to be is the motto that propels this social group into action. The Busy Bees have visited Monasteries, Museums, the Jelly Belly and Eli Cheesecake Factories, Resorts and Casinos. Volunteering their service to the community brings forth progress for the various ministries offered within the parish. Coffee hour is served for the parish at least once a year and an annual memorial service is held for members who have been promoted to a better life.

Joining The Busy Bees is a simple matter. Your adventure starts at 55 years young (many claim to be 39) and continues until you are promoted to a better life. Very simple and rewarding for those who wish to share in fellowship, service and travel. Coordinators are Dora Stamatopoulos and Muriel Kokas.
