Mission
F.I.S.H. Program: is a program initiated for affording proper
assistance to parishioners and community members. The program’s
goal is to provide resources (social & religious) as well
as food and financial assistance to those in need.

The St. Athanasios Food Pantry started: November 2002
Total Food Delivered to date: 3,541 pounds of food
• Year 2002: 315 pounds of Food
• Year 2003: 1,470 pounds of Food
• Year 2004: 1,455 pounds of Food
• November 2003 delivered 7 turkeys to
needy parishioners
• December 2003 received $500 Food Cash
Cards for needy parishioners
• 2004 received $1,000 Food Cash Cards
for needy parishioners
• 2004 Sponsored a needy family for
Christmas
Partner: The Humanitarian Service Project, West Chicago IL.
Their Mission: “To provide nutritional food for the
needy elderly in DuPage County every month of the year, and
thereby help alleviate the suffering and habilitation that
poverty brings.”
• Every month they deliver 9,000 pounds
of food to 100 seniors.
• This past Christmas they delivered 13
tons of food to 91 families and 100 seniors.
• All these are low-income families
in DuPage or Kane Counties.
• In addition they delivered 7 tons of
toys to 1,386 children.
