Phillips Park Golf Course
Our 9th Annual Greek Orthodox Loving Fellowship event will be held Saturday, September 27 at Phillips Park Golf Course, Aurora. Phillips Park is located 1.2 miles southwest of our church on Hill Avenue.
The outing is for golfers of all skill levels. You do not have to be a good golfer to participate. That is why we follow a “scramble” format. Just be prepared to have a good time!
A sign up form is available here. Sign up as a single, with a friend or as a foursome. On Sunday, September 16 during fellowship hour, we will have a drawing where we will award free rounds of golf at Tamarack golf course to 5 lucky golfers who have signed up and paid for the golf outing.
Some exciting features of the Phillips Park location include a driving range as well as a three-hole junior course. Golfing and non-golfing family members can enjoy the other park attractions and amenities that include a Zoo, large state-of-the-art playgrounds, toddler playgrounds, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, picnic pavilions, fishing piers, bike paths, a sunken garden, waterfall, World War I cannons, numerous veterans related monuments, Visitor Center and the Mastodon Gallery.
Following golf, we invite you and your entire family to join us for the 19th Hole “reception’ and Community/Family Dinner back at the church fellowship hall. The dinner is open to golfers and non golfers alike.
The Silent Auction/Raffle will take place during dinner and will feature sport event tickets, including a 12 seat executive suite to a Bulls game, golf equipment, memorabilia, gift certificates and more, and will be on display at the Church Hall for “bidding” as early as Sunday, September 16th and conclude during the 19th Hole Dinner.

Registration/Skills contest: Noon
Shotgun Start: 1:00 PM
Reception: 5:30 PM
Dinner: 6:30 PM
COST:
Golf, Cart & Dinner per person: $90 ($80 if registered and paid by September 20, 2008)
Dinner Only: $15 adult/$7 for children under 12

We also seek quality items that may be included in the silent auction/raffle, awarded for skill/gags (longest drive, closest to the pin, 2nd highest gross, etc) or promotional items for the golfer “goodie” bags (120-132 golfers). Items need not be golf related.
